1854 - 1st class survivor Mrs Charlotte Wardle Cardeza was born to Thomas Drake and Matilda McChesney Drake in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

1986 - 2nd class survivor Miss Annie Jessie "Nina" Harper died at the age of 80.

1891 - 3rd class passenger Miss Hannah Naughton was born.

1893 - 3rd class passenger Mr Karl Gideon Gustafsson was born to Stina Greta Andersdotter Johansson.

1968 - 3rd class survivor Master Harold Theodor Johnson died of pancreatitis at the age of 60.

1885 - 3rd class survivor Mr Borak ("Hannah Assi Borah") Hannah was born to Coula Hannah and his wife.

1885 - 3rd class survivor Mrs Hanna Youssef Touma was born to the Razi family in Assyria (now Lebanon).

1912 - 7:00 AM: Wearing a bowler hat and a long overcoat, Master Captain Edward John Smith took a taxi from his home to Southampton docks and came aboard the Titanic to prepare for the board of Trade muster at 8:00 am. He immediately went to his cabin to get the sailing report from Chief Officer Henry Wilde.

1912 - 7:30 AM: Master Captain Edward John Smith went through the paperwork to declare the RMS Titanic an Emigrant ship.

1912 - 8:00 AM: Blue Ensign Warrant flag, and a White Star Flag were hoisted. Lifeboats 11 & 15 were lowered, rowed around the dock, and hoisted back onto the ship. Coal Bunker #10 was noted as to having a fire in it, although this was not reported to the Board of Trade.

1912 - 8:00 PM: The tenders were away and the anchor was being raised in Cherbourg, France. Ten minutes later she was outward bound, her next stop Queenstown, County Cork, Ireland.

1912 - 6:30 PM: Dropped anchor at Cherbourg, France and awaited the tenders, Nomadic and Traffic.

1912 - Assistant Surgeon Dr John Edward Simpson and Dr O'Loughlin examined the crew muster sheets with Captain Maurice Harvey Clarke, the Board of Trade immigration officer, to ensure a healthy crew was aboard. Just one of the many formalities which had to be completed before the maiden voyage could begin.

1880 - Fireman / Stoker and survivor Mr Frank Archibald Robert Mason was born in Southampton, Hampshire, England, UK.

1912 - Purser Mr Hugh Walter Mcelroy delivered a canary to Cherbourg from Southampton for Mr. Meanwell, a man living in France. According to testimonies, he was glad to have the bird in his office.
