1871 - 1st class passenger Mr Frederick R. Kenyon was born.

1916 - 1st class survivor Mr Dickinson H. Bishop remarried.

1939 - 2nd class survivor Mr Masabumi Hosono died at the age of 68. He was the only Japanese passenger on the Titanic.

1980 - 3rd class survivor Miss Carla Christine Nielsine Andersen-Jensen died in Ferritslev, Fyn, Denmark at the age of 87. By her own request, she was buried in the nightdress she had worn on 14th April 1912.

1890 - 3rd class survivor Miss Velin Öhman was born in Eks parish, Mariestad, Västergötland, Sweden.

Cast and Crew: Tips for Obtaining Autographs


  • Mail requests in a normal white business (legal) envelope
  • Enclose a self addressed (your address as the address and the return address) 9 in. x 12 in. manilla envelope (not padded).
  • If mailing to an address in the United States from within the United States, place at least two stamps as return postage.
  • If mailing to an address outside of the United States from within the United States, obtain International Reply Coupons from the post office and enclose with the envelope. These can be exchange in the other country for equivalent return postage.
  • If mailing to an address in the United States from a country outside of the United States, obtain International Reply Coupons and enclose with the envelope. These can be exchanged in the United States for equivalent return postage.
  • If mailing to an address in your own country, place enough return postage on the envelope itself.
  • If you're writing to another country the best way to get a reply is to send at least 3 international reply coupons, which you can buy at the post office, and an 8x10" envelope addressed to yourself.
  • Write a brief letter expressing your appreciation of their work and kindly requesting an autograph.
